1. Delete your account from the Homio app
Account deletion is done from inside Homio while you are signed in, so only the account owner can delete their own account.
- Open the Homio app and sign in to your account.
- Go to the Settings tab.
- Open Account settings.
- In the Danger zone, tap Delete account.
- Confirm when prompted. This action is permanent.
2. If you can't access the app
If you can no longer sign in to Homio, email us at hello@gethomio.app from the email address associated with your Homio account and ask us to delete it.
We verify that the request comes from the account owner before deleting anything, and we may ask you to confirm details associated with your account.
3. What is deleted and what is kept
When your account is deleted, your personal account data is removed or anonymized.
- Deleted or anonymized: your profile data (name, email address) and the login credentials managed by Homio.
- Kept in anonymized form: shared household history such as expenses, payments, tasks, shopping activity, and related records, so the other members of your households keep an accurate and consistent history.
- We retain anonymized or legally required records only for as long as needed to keep household history correct, protect the service, and comply with legal obligations.
