Homio is a service designed to help people who live together organize household expenses, tasks, shopping, and shared household context.
This Policy applies when you create an account, sign in, use Homio inside a household, open public links controlled by Homio, or contact us about your account.
2. Information we collect
We collect information that you provide directly, information generated when you use the service, and technical information needed to keep Homio secure and functioning correctly.
- Account data, such as your email address, password credentials managed by Homio, display name, first name, and last name when provided.
- Household content you create or share, including household names, invitations, expenses, payments, task data, shopping list items, shared lists, and related activity history.
- Regional and device-related context that supports the service, including locale and time zone.
- Authentication, session, and security information reasonably required to sign you in, maintain your session, detect misuse, and protect accounts.
3. How we use information
- To create and maintain your account.
- To operate shared household features and display the correct household context.
- To send essential service communications such as password reset and invitation flows.
- To support authentication flows, including sign-in methods you choose to use.
- To maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and protect the integrity of the service.
- To localize the product experience using your language and regional context.
5. Retention and deletion
We keep information for as long as it is reasonably necessary to operate Homio, maintain shared household history, protect the service, and comply with legal obligations.
If you delete your account through Homio, your personal account data is anonymized according to the product behavior currently implemented by the service. Shared household history may remain in an anonymized form so other household members can keep an accurate record of expenses, tasks, shopping activity, and related history.
6. Your choices
You can update parts of your profile information inside the app.
You can request password recovery through Homio if you lose access to your account.

7. Children's privacy
Homio is not directed to children. You should only use Homio if you are old enough to agree to the service under the laws that apply to you.
8. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the service, legal requirements, or operational practices. When we do, we will update the date shown at the top of this page.
